Bat Conservation Trust
BCT is the only UK charity solely devoted to conserving UK bats and their habitats. BCT has been running the National Bat Monitoring Programme since 1996, advise the public and lobby in the UK and internationally on bat conservation legislation. There are 17 species of bat in the UK, all of which are protected by law because their numbers have decreased so dramatically. BCT research revealed that 67% of bat-related offences are committed within the building trade.
